“DFI’s Role in Resource Mobilization and Capital Market Development”
*This session focused on the need to mobilize private capital flows to collectively deliver on the SDGs, including for an inclusive and sustainable rural transformation in which no one is being left behind. It highlighted the potential for financial markets to help finance a global transition by linking financing needs to global sources of funding, and the need to scale up sustainable finance globally, notably in low and middle-income countries. It discussed how to achieve more effective international coordination among governments, PDBs, financial market participants, and multi-national companies.
